Campus Planter / Teaching Pastor
The Big Picture
One Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is ready to plant again—and we’re looking for a Campus Pastor who’s wired for preaching, pastoring, and building something new from the ground up. This isn’t just a fill-the-slot role; it’s a chance to be part of a church-planting movement that’s taking shape across one of the fastest-growing counties in the U.S.
This person will start by serving on the team at the original campus, getting to know the culture, people, and systems of One Church. Over the course of 6–9 months, they’ll begin building a launch team made up of people already in the church—many of whom are driving 20–30 minutes across town just to gather each week. The vision? Launch a new campus (think: ONE CHURCH – Eagleville or ONE CHURCH – Blackman) in one of these growing communities with 100+ people who are already aligned with the mission.
The Role
Here’s what the first couple years will look like:
Serve at the Calvary Campus, learning the ropes and building trust with the current team.
Identify and equip leaders (worship, kids, students) through One Church’s Leadership Pipeline.
Build relationships and gather a launch team for a brand-new campus.
Preach, shepherd, and lead the new campus once it launches.
Collaborate with other Campus Pastors and the Senior Pastor on preaching, planning, and big-picture strategy.
Rotate pulpits a few times a year to maintain unity across campuses.
Help shape the long-term dream: 6 strong campuses planting a 7th by 2030.
Each new campus is supported with up to $1 million from the One Church network to help it start strong and stay healthy.
Who We’re Looking For
A strong, clear teacher of God’s Word.
A pastor who meets the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 and wants to live in long-term accountability with the Senior Pastor and other elders of ONE CHURCH
Someone with at least 5 years of church ministry experience.
Theologically trained (M.Div. or similar is a bonus).
A team builder. Lone Rangers need not apply.
Someone who’s got some entrepreneurial grit and a passion for multiplication.
This role is about 80% focused on the local campus and 20% invested in the health and mission of One Church as a whole.
