God Works All Things Together For Your Good - Living in the Promise of Romans 8:28 by Robert J. Morgan
God Works All Things Together for Your Good, which is based on the wonderful promise of Romans 8:28. This verse comes at the climax of the Bible’s most extensive explanation of what it means to be justified—to be brought into a close relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It’s a consummating verse that provides umbrella protection to the Lord’s people. Nothing is more com- forting to us than a thorough understanding of this passage.
The same truth of God’s overruling oversight of our lives is repeated throughout the Bible, so I’ve also taken the liberty of pointing to several other verses of Scripture that touch on the same basic promises.
We will use his videos in class and then work through discussion questions and prayer request. We will share our needs and the application of “All things work together for good”.

The Gospel Way Catechism - Matt Cox
But the first time I heard Tim Keller talk about the need for counter-catechesis, it reframed everything for me. At a TGC colloquium in Louisville, Kentucky, he explained that catechesis has always been counter-catechesis. The Reformation-era catechisms weren’t just teaching doctrine; they were actively inoculating believers against the dominant Catholic alternative. They weren’t just building a Protestant worldview but dismantling competing ones.
Keller was clear: Classical catechisms like Heidelberg, Westminster, and Luther’s remain indispensable, but they’re no longer sufficient. Today, the primary alternative to Protestant Christianity isn’t Catholicism—it’s Western secularism, with its own catechism, reinforced constantly through ads, music, social media, and entertainment. The secular world disciples people through stories and slogans, reinforcing ideas like “Be true to yourself,” “Follow your heart,” and “Define your own reality.” And our traditional catechisms, while biblically faithful, often don’t expose the faults in these modern narratives or offer a direct contrast. "In this class we will study this book that goes through 50 truths that, while are fundamental to our faith, also target ideas that secular worldview that we are surrounded by push on us.
